Passing though Michigan City and decided to look up the closest Vietnamese cuisine. Very happy I stopped in. Delicious broth, quick service and a very clean restaurant. Easy recommendation to anyone nearby craving pho. House special was excellent. Good portion size too. Not too big or small. Only wish for some music indoors as it was whisper quiet. Great if you're looking for a calm dinner or lunch.

Had an amazing pho seafood soup today. And with a special attention to detail from the owner. This was my first time here and he walked me through the menu. I was going to grab and go and he convinced me to sit and enjoy the freshness of the food. Best advice ever!

Absolutely incredible Vietnamese food — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Everything we tried at Saigon City Bar & Grill was delicious, but what really stood out just as much as the food was the owner — truly the nicest guy in the world. He made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meal. We tried a variety of dishes (and loved them all), but especially have to call out the spicy wings and Mongolian beef — both were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The wings had the ideal kick without being overwhelming, and the Mongolian beef was tender, savory, and perfectly balanced. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Vietnamese cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place is approachable, authentic, and full of heart. A must-visit spot in Michigan City — we can’t wait to come back!

Chicken pho and egg rolls were excellent. Super fresh, quality ingredients. Employee who helped with out takeout order was very nice and gave us a sample of the broth before we got our food. The broth for the pho would be perfect if you were feeling under the weather. Right down the road from my work, all of us office ladies will be ordering frequently.

Billy, the owner, is amazing. He provided my husband and I with exceptional service. We ordered the egg rolls, beef pho, and pork fried rice. Not only was the food amazing and fresh, but also Billy let us know that everything is made in-house on the daily. Everything was 10/10!

Stumbled upon this charming restaurant on our way back home from skydiving nearby. What a pleasant find! We only intended to grab the food to go, but once we saw the pork bahn mi sandwich, we knew we had to eat it freshly made. The waitress was kind and attentive. The owner served us himself and told us all about how the sandwich is made and the fresh and authentic ingredients used. As a foodie from Chicago, this was music to my ears. The bread was flaky yet soft. The most perfect texture. The pork and pate were rich and the flavors perfectly balanced. And the fresh cilantro, cucumber, and onions cut through the richness from the pork. They even have a spicy chili sauce made in-house. My husband liked it so much, he ordered an additional sandwich. I have never had a better bahn mi. Cannot wait until I get the chance to come back out here—you must visit.
